Best In Show – Times Five!
We are excited to announce that Sanky recently took home five Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards!
Every year, the IAC awards are produced by the Web Marketing Association to give recognition to exceptional online advertising across all industries.
Proving to the world that nonprofit web design and marketing can be just as (if not more) innovative than for-profit brands is hard work—and it couldn't be done without a terrific team.
This year’s winning campaigns highlighted the work of three organizations: African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), a conservation organization working with the people of Africa to protect its wildlife and lands; amfAR, a leading HIV/AIDS organization that awards grants to research teams worldwide; and Covenant House, which provides shelter and support to homeless children in over 21 cities.
Here's a little info on each of the campaigns:
This project featured a beautifully designed storybook about a potential future without African wildlife. Through the interactive story, readers experienced the loss of endangered animals due to illegal poaching. Readers were then encouraged to help “rewrite the story” by helping fund AWF’s preservation efforts.
Each month, the newsletter communicates AWF’s efforts and mission through informative news articles, quick facts, and striking visuals. It also offers a number of ways for readers to engage with the organization, such as donating, sharing, and following AWF on social media.
To raise awareness about sex trafficking and position Covenant House as an advocate against this horrific industry, we developed a campaign around the Super Bowl—one of the largest sex trafficking marketplaces. Through the microsite, visitors could learn more, share informative graphics on social media, sign a petition to stop trafficking, and take action through Thunderclap.
To summarize three breakthroughs in cure-focused HIV/AIDS research, we created an interactive microsite using animation, state-of-the-art design, and straightforward messaging. The microsite explores the stories and science behind the three current paths to a cure for HIV, how these could one day lead to a universal cure, and amfAR's role in this mission.
This email illustrated the hard truths about poaching through jarring copy, beautiful imagery, and graphic icons depicting the weapons used by poachers. Readers were encouraged to donate to AWF in order to fund prevention efforts.
Association for the recognition, to our clients for their inspiring work, and to everyone at Sanky for their creativity.
